Step-by-Step: Bolus Tube FeedingBolus Tube Feeding.Begin by washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.Pull the plunger out of your Enfit feeding syringe.Uncap the feeding port.Attach the syringe to the feeding port by twisting it clockwise.Make sure that the tubing clamp is closed.Pour formula into the syringe, filling it up to only the top line.Replace the plunger into the syringe and open the clamp. Push down slowly until all the formula is gone. Thenclose the clamp.Repeat steps 5, 6, and 7 until you have taken the prescribed amount of formula.Remove the plunger and fill the syringe with the amount of water recommended by your healthcare provider.Replace the plunger into the syringe and open the clamp.
