Dark Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries

Ingredients

  • 30 strawberries (1 1/2 lb.)

  • 7 oz. dark chocolate, 85 percent dark or darker

Directions

  1. Stick long wooden skewers into each strawberry.

  2. In a medium-sized microwaveable bowl, break chocolate into smaller pieces. Heat on high for about 75 seconds. Whisk until all pieces are melted.

  3. Take a skewered strawberry and swirl it in chocolate, letting the melted chocolate drip back into the bowl. Stick it upside down into a heavy glass or vase. Repeat with each strawberry. As you are finishing up the last strawberries, the chocolate may harden; reheat in microwave for about 15 seconds. Use a spoon to scrape any last bits of melted chocolate and pour over the last few strawberries.
